Jarte is a powerful, totally free text processor, with a simple graphic interface and many functions, some of them not available in other similar processors. This makes Jarte the perfect substitute for the classic WordPad and NotePad from Windows.

These are some of the main features of Jarte: it can open multiple documents via tabs in the interface, it can also open documents in plain or enriched text, it includes DOC documents created in Microsoft Word, it saves docuemtns in RTF, plain text and DOC or DOCX formats, it has optional access to the system bar, supports drag and drop for files, has configurable wallpapers and colours, shortcuts to open documents, shortcuts to your favourite documents and folders, it can email documents, has an adjustable zoom for documents, etc.
